1. Who We Are

Familiora is a healthcare coordination platform being built for Nepal, beginning with Kathmandu Valley. We connect families with independent, qualified healthcare professionals for services including home nursing, elder care, physiotherapy, health checkups, and care coordination.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Familiora," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Familiora platform and its operators. Our primary point of contact for data matters is hello@familiora.com.

Current status: Familiora is in pre-launch. We are not yet providing healthcare coordination services. The only active data collection at this time is our waitlist, which allows interested families and professionals to register for early access.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Waitlist Registration

When you submit your email address through our waitlist form, we collect:

• Email address — the address you provide in the form.
• Submission timestamp — the date and time your request was received.

We do not require your name, phone number, address, or any other information to join the waitlist.

2.2 Technical Data

When you visit our website, standard technical data may be processed by our infrastructure and third-party services (see Section 5). This may include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We do not directly collect or store this data ourselves at this time.

2.3 Communications

If you contact us directly at hello@familiora.com, we retain the content of that communication and your contact details to respond to your enquiry.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

• Launch notification — to send you one email notifying you when Familiora launches or becomes available in your area.
• Service improvements — to understand demand and plan our service rollout across Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur.
• Responding to enquiries — to respond to messages sent to our email address.
• Legal compliance — to comply with applicable laws and regulations in Nepal.

We will not send you marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional content without your explicit consent. The single launch notification email is the only communication you should expect by joining the waitlist.

4. What We Do Not Collect

We want to be explicit about what we do not collect or process:

• Health records, medical history, or clinical data of any kind.
• Government-issued identification numbers.
• Payment card or financial account information.
• Location data beyond what is voluntarily provided.
• Biometric data.
• Data from social media accounts.
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs.

When Familiora launches and begins coordinating healthcare services, a separate, updated Privacy Policy will be published that covers the additional data required to provide those services. You will be notified of any material changes.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process data in connection with your use of our website:

5.1 Formspree

Our waitlist form is powered by Formspree (Formspree Inc., USA). When you submit your email address, it is transmitted to and stored by Formspree on our behalf. Formspree acts as a data processor for this purpose.

Formspree's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy. Your data is stored on their infrastructure, which is located in the United States. By submitting your email address, you acknowledge this transfer.

5.2 Google Fonts

Our website uses Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA) to load the Manrope typeface. When your browser loads our page, it may send a request to Google's servers, which may include your IP address. Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

5.3 Hosting and Infrastructure

Our website is hosted by a third-party web hosting provider. Standard web server logs, which may include IP addresses and request data, may be retained by the hosting provider in accordance with their own data retention policies.

5.4 No Analytics or Advertising

We do not currently use any analytics services (such as Google Analytics), advertising networks, or tracking pixels on this website. If this changes, this policy will be updated.

6. Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are retained until one of the following occurs:

• You request deletion of your data by contacting us at hello@familiora.com.
• We have sent the launch notification email and a reasonable period has elapsed.
• We determine that Familiora will not launch, at which point all waitlist data will be permanently deleted.

Email communications are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter they relate to, and deleted thereafter.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

• Right of access — to request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data from our records and, where applicable, to request that we notify our third-party processors (such as Formspree) of your deletion request.
• Right to withdraw consent — to withdraw from the waitlist at any time. As the only basis for processing your email address is your voluntary submission, withdrawal means requesting deletion.
• Right to object — to object to our processing of your data.

Residents of Nepal have rights under the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018). Residents of the European Economic Area have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to and from our website.
• Use of reputable, security-conscious third-party processors.
• Limiting access to personal data to those who need it to operate the waitlist.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our website and waitlist are not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us at hello@familiora.com and we will promptly delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Familiora is operated from Nepal. By using our website and submitting your email address, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Nepal — specifically the United States, where our third-party processors (Formspree, Google) operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in Nepal.

Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on the privacy and security commitments of our third-party processors, which include standard contractual safeguards appropriate for the nature of the data transferred (an email address).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material — for example, when we launch and begin collecting health-related data — we will notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
